Meet Our Veterinarians

Dr. Paula Dupuy

Dr. Paula graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1992. She enjoys practicing equine and companion animal veterinary medicine in her home community of Flamborough.

Paula loves all aspects of her work and the daily challenges that it brings. Passionate about her own animals, Dr. Paula enjoys riding to the hounds and dabbles in breeding quality field hunters. A big fan of the Labrador Retriever breed, you will often find her accompanied by her canine sidekicks Sally and Jack.

Dr. Dupuy recently founded Wind Dancer Pony Rescue, the only rescue in Canada dedicated to providing care for unwanted & neglected ponies.

Dr. Marlah Magalas

Growing up in southwestern Ontario, Dr. Marlah traveled overseas to Edinburgh, Scotland to complete her veterinary medicine degree. Graduating in July of 2015, Dr. Marlah moved back to Ontario and practiced mixed animal medicine before joining the Troy Veterinary Services team in the summer of 2016.

Marlah has a keen interest in both small animal and equine medicine, making her a great fit for the Troy Veterinary Services team. She has special interest in equine reproduction, ophthalmology and internal medicine.

On her time off Dr. Marlah likes to spend time with her family and friends as well as travelling to different countries when time allows. She also loves spending time with her Quarter horse mare, Lacie and her fun-loving Springer Spaniel; Ceilidh keeps her on her toes!

Dr. Stephanie Whalen

Dr. Stephanie Whalen grew up near Belleville, ON and has been involved in horseback riding and draft driving since her childhood. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.

Dr. Whalen worked for one year at Waller Equine Hospital near Houston, Texas to complete an intensive equine internship. There, she was involved in all areas of equine medicine including general practice, referral surgery and medicine cases, lameness, and reproduction. Returning to Ontario, she continued practicing equine medicine in southwestern Ontario and then joined Troy Veterinary
Services in early 2017. Stephanie's special interests in equine medicine include internal medicine, ophthalmology, and geriatric care; along with a growing interest in diagnostic ultrasound.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with family and friends, working with her two horses, gardening, and drawing.

She keeps the property and clinic well maintained, assists clients, cares for our patients and keeps everyone smiling with her positive and upbeat attitude.

Rayna’s canine companion is an elegant mastiff named Sadie.

Although Sadie does not share Rayna’s enthusiasm about going to work every day at Troy Veterinary S, she does love their quality time hiking outdoors.
